Ed Schultz hit this one out of the park!

The Anthony Weiner escapades have been front and center since he came out of the men are pigs closet two days ago and admitted what we all knew, he was lying and is a pig…I added the “was a pig” part.  But here is the thing, most of the left is trying to defend this guy or downplay this as just between him and his wife, all but one person and that’s Ed Schultz.

I’ve lit Ed up over his vitriol in the past but will admit I’m a fan.  He can get a little ahead of himself with the angst and it comes out like it did a couple weeks ago.  However, this guy stands on very, very principled ground when it comes to being consistent about political figures behaving badly.  He called for many political figures to step down as he has here with Weiner Sausage and I admire that about Ed.  He is also taking some heat from the kookville lefties that want to just dismiss this, turn it into some history lesson on when XYZ did this in 19ABC, or worse of all just say men behaving badly is acceptable if they do a “good job”..i.e. Lawrence ODonnell from the same network.

I applaud Ed for being the strong voice over at the Obama network for calling this like it is and verbally kicking Weiner right in his…..well, his Weiner!  The real issue here is the damage Weiner did to so many lives by his selfish and arrogant behavior.  Now besides the obvious damage to his wife, the young girls, and a porn star he is just killing the Democrats with this.  As an admitted conservative I must say that even I can’t take joy in that knowing the victims here in this mess.  It’s time for Weiner to go today and props to Ed Schultz for calling this 100% correct.

Ed, I’ll light you up again I’m sure about an issue but stand with you on principle and your courage of convictions.  As a union kid from the mills of Northwest Indiana I have a soft side for you and must say you’re the only guy over there on MSNBC I don’t turn off because of cowardice in broadcasting.  Till we joust again….bonum certamen certa!

The unfolding story with Congressman Anthony Weiner is yet again another example of how some in the far left media like MSNBC and others in the lame stream media are willing and in some cases open accomplices in the misleading of America vs. fact based, triple sourced journalism.  There are a few folks on the prime time hours over at MSNBC that went to great lengths to defend, apologize for, make theories to explain this away versus do the right thing and fact check this and challenge what was clearly a story with more holes in it than a New England lobster net. 

This is the sad state of most of the media today and its part of a very large “cover for the left at all costs” mentality that is pervasive in TV news today.  This story is sad in many ways and most of which is the impact on Mr. Weiner’s family and wife.  Those wounds will only heal over time and that’s on him to do the right thing when the cameras are off.  The bigger issue is calling out many of the media enablers that allowed this to happen by taking a blame the right and coming up with half cocked (no pun intended) theories about photo shopped pictures planted by some evil doer on the right.  Shame on all of you that sacrificed all decency and standards in order to defend one of your own to score points.  All of you that took the path of lie and attack the enemy no matter the facts have some serious explaining to do.  Many of you will now claim to just be dupped victims that you're not.

Anthony Weiner is a schmuck for doing this…All of you are shameful hacks for trying to find every excuse possible to cover this up!  The real apology due to all of us is from the left wing media not Anthony Weiner.
