The new king of vitriol
Well I have to say last night I was a yelling at the TV after watching the segment on Red Schultz’s show about enhanced interrogations. He took Senator McCain’s speech from the well of the Senate today and sliced it up with creative video edits to ensure a far left liberal, red meat feeding frenzy.
We all know Sen. McCain is against enhanced interrogations and I respect his right to those views. I, on the other hand believe they should be a tool at the Presidents disposal and used on a case by case basis. Mr. “Red” however twisted the facts so bad it’s sick, and then worse got into some always popular lefty Bush War Crimes talk….I’ll cover that below but first lets address his selective edits.
He starts by taking a statement from Sen. McCain saying the trail to Bin Laden “Did not start with KSM and water boarding” than twisted that to say that KSM and the info we got from water boarding played no role at all. He then goes on to show a clip Lynn Cheney where he attacks the right with a clip of her saying “ that some of the information gained through water boarding no doubt played a role and provided information leading to Bin Laden” and calls her a liar referring back to McCain. You see the crafty little lie Mr. “Red” pulled off?
He takes the statement of McCain saying “the trail STARTED” and then twists it into his own version of the truth by attacking her statement “that SOME info was gained” referring back to McCain, clever little MSNBC trick they pull all the time. The fact is Red, that where the trail started none of us know not even you, and further the facts are clear that enhanced interrogations did play a role in some of the information we gained. Now, here is where his real hidden agenda comes out.
After all this he brings out the C-List MSNBC guest and featured hack to then launch into treaty violations and how this really is about Bush war crimes and the President needs to do something or as Red said “Mr. President the ball is in your court on this one”. See this is the lame twisting of facts to get back to the ultimate agenda and that is paint the former President as a criminal. One statement by Sen. McCain turns into a long video edit montage to build a case that leads to how we call President Bush a war criminal and of course a weak smack at Fox news for being part of the vast water boarding, KSM, Bin Laden capture conspiracy to protect Bush.
Folks this kind of nonsense makes us wonder if we should use coat hangers and duct tape for more than hanging coats and taping ducts!
