Oil traders counting YOUR money!
This is worse than a self inflicted wound, I’m not sure most Americans realized that the price of gas in the major oil producing countries is far less than ours or that we hold the most combined energy reserves on the planet. It begs the question why are we so deep in debt and paying so much for energy? I say it’s the green and global warming agenda combined with a political agenda to keep production at U.S. refineries low. Here is a sample of gas prices from countries with oil reserves (again combined reserves of oil, coal, and natural gas we have the most on the planet).
Venezuela – About .20 cents a gallon
Iran - .40 cents a gallon
Egypt and Libya about - $1.50 a gallon
The fact is we are not looking at our energy needs and the current and growing crisis in terms of what we control (resources); rather we look at how to control our population through consumption, and as a result our economy is in the tank. The countries above drill, refine, and sell their own oil and it reflects in the prices they pay at the pump.
The reality is that we treat our own energy reserves, and as a result our economy and prosperity like they are the problem. Is it me, or is the Congressional antenna not picking up all the channels? How do we give the green movement more rights than that of our citizens while the world drills, digs, and pumps all around us. It’s an exercise in artificial stupidity.
We have a fringe movement (the greens) combined with political inaction that is stopping us from enjoying the God given wealth under our feet. Would America be where it is today had we not tapped our talent and vast reserves during the 1900’s boom? Would the world be where it is today had we not done so? Could you imagine where we would be if we treated the steel boom the same way we are acting now about our energy wealth.
No more excuses or apologies for being who we are, and having what we have, or using what we use. We are smart enough to drill, dig, and refine in a clean safe manner and do it for far less than what we pay to import it. If the Chinese get the technology to drill oil sands do you believe they won’t, or that they will wake up one day and jump on the UN backed global warming train and drive less cars and burn less fuel?
This I know, that caving to the greens is no different than caving to radical Islam (yes I compared the two) and we have a major energy crisis that is 100% unnecessary as a result of energy cowardice. We deserve better from our leaders and we deserve to enjoy the vast wealth of America that lies under our feet without shame. Mr. President drill now, drill off shore, drill in Alaska, tap the oil sands, dig coal, build wind farms and fix a problem we should not be dealing with.
Please….I’m begging all of you in Congress……Please stop making stupidity our #1 natural resource!
